Day 1:

Barrie, Ontario
Barrie to Bracebridge (1 hour, 4 minutes)

Surrounding the shores of Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe, Barrie is a great place to begin your Georgian Bay/Muskoka tour. Start your day with a hardy breakfast before walking around the award-winning MacLaren Art Centre where you will see world-class galleries. Tour Kempenfelt Bay aboard Barrie Boat Cruises and view the beautiful homes and local landmarks. Grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants then pile into the car and make your way toward beautiful Bracebridge, Ontario. Arrive in time to visit Rich Hill Candles where you can learn how to make your own candles! Sit down at one of the local eateries for a much needed meal and reflect on your day. Crawl into bed at one of the many hotels in the area and take in a good night’s sleep to prepare yourself for tomorrow’s adventures!

Day 2:

Bracebridge to Huntsville (27 minutes)

Awake early this morning, as you have a long, eventful day ahead of you! Start your morning off with a big breakfast at one of Bracebridge’s local eateries before setting off to Santa’s Village. Make your way toward Lady Muskoka Cruises for a Captain’s Feast lunch while breathing in the crisp cottage-country air along the Muskoka River. After a relaxing cruise and as evening sets in, jump back into your car and make your way toward Huntsville for a quick tour of Muskoka Heritage Place, where you will be taken back to a simpler time. After your fill of history, drive to Parry Sound for a relaxing evening cruise with Island Queen Cruises. After a long day of adventure, make your way back to your hotel room for a relaxing night.

Day 3:

Parry Sound to Sudbury (2 hours, 4 minutes)

Awake early this day, grab a bite to eat to start your day right, and start the morning with an airplane ride with Georgian Bay Airways and see Parry Sound from above – an unforgettable experience for sure! Coming down from this high, you are about ready to begin your trek toward Sudbury, Ontario. Grab a snack and pack into your car; arrive in Sudbury in time for a round of golf at Dinosaur Valley Mini Golf where dinosaur and insect exhibits are fantastic! Head back toward the downtown core and stop in at a local eatery for a late lunch and some relaxation. After your meal, make your way toward Sudbury’s famous Dynamic Earth and discover how mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes are formed. Next, stopover at Science North and experience The Climate Change Show or walk around and be astounded by science! Grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants and take it easy. Take in a movie after dinner, tour the town, or simply go back to your hotel room for a relaxing night. Either way, you are sure to find Sudbury fun for the whole family.

Day 4:

Sudbury to Owen Sound (6 hours, 30 minutes)

An early morning rise will ensure that you get an early start to your long drive toward Owen Sound. Be sure to make a few pit-stops along the way, stop for a long lunch; make the drive part of your trip. Site seeing en-route is always memorable! Arrive in Owen Sound mid-afternoon and take a tour of Grey Roots Museum and Archives and/or Owen Sound Marine and Rail Museum. As the day comes to an end, stop for dinner in town before making your way to your hotel room for the night.

Day 5:

Owen Sound to Collingwood (47 minutes)
Collingwood to Barrie (46 minutes)

Arise early this morning to ensure you get as much done today as possible. Grab a bite to eat at one of the local breakfast places before beginning your short trip to Collingwood, Ontario. Arrive in Collingwood in time for an Eco Adventure tour or try the zip line at Scenic Caves. After an adventurous morning, roam the beautiful streets in the Village at Blue Mountain Resort and stop for a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. After a leisurely lunch, stop in at Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain and soak in one of their baths, or have a relaxing massage. As the afternoon dwindles down, take a tour with Summer Bound Tours with an outing on the water in and around the Collingwood harbour. After a dinner in one of the local eateries, take in a show at Theatre Collingwood. Take your time with this day, you are almost back where you started; Barrie is less than an hour away!
